A damp and dark terraced house is transformed by natural materials to become the light-filled, airy home that is Breathable House
Breathable House grew from close collaboration with our client who wanted to transform their Victorian terraced house into a light-filled, breathable home shaped by natural materials. The house was a pebble-dashed and rather damp house which was in need of a renovation and thermal upgrade. The ground-floor extension comprises solid blocks of cork insulation, with an additional layer of cork facing, which sits on a concrete and stone composite skirting.
